eduroam
eduroam is the preferred and recommended wireless network for students, faculty, and staff with all capable devices. This network provides the best and most secure experience, with high speed connections, and access to network printing, library databases, course registration, and more.
WFUwireless-legacy
WFUwireless-legacy is a network that may be used by students, faculty, and staff with older devices (using 2.4Ghz such as Raspberry Pi, iPhone 4s, and older). This network provides unrestricted bandwidth to campus and Internet services.
WFUguest
WFUguest is an open wireless network for our campus guests such as family and non-WFU friends who would like access to the Internet. WFUguest does not require a sponsor or a password. This option is not intended for use by our WFU students, faculty, and staff because access to internal campus network resources is restricted and slower network speeds will be observed on this network.
Note that WFUguest is not available in the following locations:
LJVM Coliseum
Bridger Field House
Deacon Tower (BB&T Field)
Tennis Center
Brookstown Inn
WFUmydevices
WFUmydevices is the network that should be used to connect game consoles and other entertainment devices (such as Apple TV, XBox One, Playstation 4, Roku, Amazon Fire Stick, Nintendo DS, etc.) to the network. This network provides unlimited bandwidth. In order to use WFUmydevices, users should first:
Click here to register their devices through the mydevices portal, OR
If they are a campus visitor who requires access to on-campus resources (such as a vendor or contractor), be registered by a WFU sponsor using the netguest portal.
IQGuest
IQGuest is an open wireless network for Wake Downtown guests who want quick and easy access to the Internet. IQGuest does not require a sponsor or a password. This option is not intended for use by our students, faculty, or staff because access to internal campus network resources is restricted and moderate bandwidth limitations are in place for this network.
