Workday is getting a refreshed look on September 19.
On Saturday, September 19, 2026, Workday will be rolling out a refreshed look globally. Students, faculty and staff will notice updates to the home page, dashboard location, and the navigation menu.
Importantly, how you complete core tasks is not changing. Requesting time off, entering grades, viewing class schedules or other academic and administrative functions will work the same way you’re used to, though you may find them in a different place in the menu.
What’s changing:
- Landing Page App Relocation: Top apps (e.g., Academics, Student Financials) are removed from the main landing page and relocated under the main menu in the upper-left corner.
- Role-Based Menu Structure: Main menu categories are restructured dynamically based on user roles (e.g., Faculty & Advisor, Student, Staff), displaying relevant dashboards at the top of the expanded menu list.
- Shortcuts Relocation: The standalone shortcuts link at the top of the menu is removed, and existing user shortcuts automatically move down into a "Saved" section at the bottom of the menu.

Menu Item Pinning: Users can self-configure their layout by pinning up to four menu items to the top of their main menu for quicker access.
