⚠️

Note

WFU Workday uses a unique instance specific to our university. While other organizations utilize Workday, WFU students, staff, and faculty must access the WFU-specific tenant. Any generic links found via public search engines will not work.

To log in securely, you must use either the official WFU Workday Portal or access the shortcut through your university email interface as outlined below.

Accessing Workday via the Google Apps Launcher

  1. Click on the Google Apps launcher icon (the nine-dot grid) in the top right-hand corner of your WFU Gmail inbox.
  2. Scroll down through the app menu dropdown and click on the Workday icon.
  3. Workday will automatically authenticate and open securely in a new browser tab.

Workday Mobile App

1. Install the App

Download and install the official Workday application on your mobile device using the direct platform links below:

2. Sign Into the Mobile App

When launching the application for the first time, you must link it manually to our university infrastructure. Enter the following parameters when prompted to connect your account:

Required Setting Field Value to Enter
Organization ID / Tenant wfu
Web Services URL https://www.myworkday.com/wfu/login.htmld
Next Steps: After submitting these configuration settings, the app will redirect you to the standard Wake Forest single sign-on screen. Authenticate using your full WFU email address, password, and your registered 2-step verification method to complete activation.

Error when Logging in to Workday

If you receive a 403 error when trying to log in, Workday may be trying to use a different (non WFU) account. Try using an incognito mode/private browsing window to see if you are able to log in using your WFU account.

403 "that's an error" broken robot app_not_configured_for_user Service is not configured for this user.

If you try to return to a specific Workday page, such as if the browser attempts to autocomplete the Workday URL, instead of the main login page/home page, you may also encounter an error. In that case, return to the main login page and try logging in once more.

403 Error on Workday Mobile iPhone app

If you are using an iPhone and receive a 403 error when logging in to the app, you may need to clear the cache and browsing data from the Safari app.

The Workday app uses Safari to log in so if Safari has other google account info, it may give the 403 error.

After clearing the cookies and cache in Safari, the Workday app should let you log in using your WFU account.

403 Error on Workday Mobile Android app

You will need to add your WFU account as an account on your Android phone before you can use the Workday app. On Android, the app uses Google Chrome to authenticate.
