If you are having trouble connecting to the eduroam network and have previously connected to another university's eduroam wireless network, follow the steps below.
Note:
If you connected to eduroam on campus using another institution's credentials, this may prevent you from accessing local resources such as printers and file shares.
iOS (iPhone & iPad)
Remove previous profile (if installed)
- Open Settings.
- Tap General > VPN & Device Management (or Profiles & Device Management on older iOS versions).
- Under Configuration Profile, select the eduroam profile for your previous institution.
- Tap Remove Profile, enter your device passcode if prompted, and tap Remove to confirm.
Forget saved network
- Open Settings > Wi-Fi.
- Tap the Info (i) icon next to eduroam.
- Tap Forget This Network and select Forget to confirm.
Mac
- Open System Settings.
- On the left sidebar, select Privacy & Security (or General in macOS Sequoia).
- Select Profiles (or Device Management). Alternatively, search for "Profiles" in the System Settings search bar.
- Select the eduroam profile for your previous institution and click the minus (-) button to remove it.
- Select the Wi-Fi tab in System Settings, choose eduroam, and click Connect.
- When prompted, enter your full WFU email address ([email protected]) and password.
If you still cannot connect, manually clear legacy certificates:
- Open Keychain Access (press Cmd + Space, type "Keychain Access", and press Enter).
- In the left sidebar, select System under System Keychains.
- Select My Certificates at the top of the window.
- Right-click the previous institution's eduroam certificate and select Delete.
Windows
- Select Start > Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi.
- Select Manage known networks.
- Find the previous eduroam entry and select Forget.
- Click the Network, Sound, or Battery icon on the right side of the taskbar.
- Select eduroam from the available network list and click Connect.
- When prompted, enter your full WFU email address ([email protected]) and password.
