Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Where do I go to purchase or request a computer?
A: You can access the procurement system in two ways:
- Log directly into the Workday ISD Task Portal.
- Log into Workday and search for "Create Internal Service Delivery" to locate the ISD task.
Q: Does this replace my four-year computer replacement by Information Systems?
A: No. This procurement process is specifically for secondary or specific-use computers, including:
- New hire requests
- Grant funding
- Student work-study positions
- Research labs and classrooms
Q: How do I know if I need to use the Workday Procurement Process?
A: Use the Workday Procurement Process for new hire setups, secondary computing/tablet requests, work-study computers, or other specialized departmental needs.
Note: This process does not replace the IS-initiated, four-year exchanges for your primary computer. Those standard refreshes continue to happen automatically for eligible faculty and staff during the regular Computer Exchange refresh cycle.
