Installing a personal wireless printer

Modified on: Tue, Jul 23, 2019 11:21 AM

Personal wireless printers are not supported on the campus network.

Wake Forest uses the wireless encryption standard WPA2 Enterprise that most personal wireless printers do not support.  There has been limited success with wireless printing on campus using personal printers. It is recommended that you connect to your printer using physical cable or consider using on-campus printing solutions

Some HP model printers have been successful in printing wirelessly on campus. If you wish to attempt to set up your wireless printer, please visit the MyDevices instructional page to register your printer to the WFUmydevices wireless network. You will need the MAC address of your device to do this. (See the printer's manufacturer page for instructions on how to find the MAC address for your particular printer.)
