Installing a network printer on Windows (Xerox and non-Xerox printers)

Windows - WFU Issued

To install a network printer:
  1. Note your desired print server: \\xerox (Xerox Printers); \\wfuprint (Non-Xerox Printers)
  2. From your Windows desktop, click start (Windows Start Bubble/Flag)
  3. Click Run
  4. Enter \\wfuprint or \\xerox into the text box that pops up and press enter
  5. Browse to and double click on the printer you would like to print to, i.e UCC-1004-XRX
  6. Note any messages that pop up and accept to install drivers if/when prompted.

  •   \\wfuprint
  •   \\xerox

Windows - Personal

To install a network printer:
  1. Note your desired print server: \\xerox (Xerox Printers); \\wfuprint (Non-Xerox Printers)
  2. From your Windows desktop, click start (Windows Start Bubble/Flag)
  3. Click Run
  4. Enter \\wfuprint or \\xerox into the text box that pops up and press enter
    • If \\wfuprint or \\xerox does not work, try adding .deacnet.wfu.edu after (example: \\xerox.deacnet.wfu.edu)
  5. Authenticate as "deacnet\YourUsername" and current deacnet password (you may need to indicate to use a different account)

This image shows the Windows Authentication screen when attempting to access a network resource. It indicates to use a different account and to use "deacnet\username" as the username to indicate it is a deacnet domain account.

  •   \\wfuprint or \\wfuprint.deacnet.wfu.edu
  •   \\xerox or \\xerox.deacnet.wfu.edu
