Google Account Setup on Mac

Wake Forest uses Google Workspace as our email and enterprise collaboration service provider.  We strongly recommend using the native web interface and apps for improved security.  You can access your account by visiting and entering your WFU email address (username) and account password. 

Tip: If you are someone that would prefer to use Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Chat, Google Meet, etc. in its own app, follow these steps!

If you do not wish to use the web interface and want to utilize the Mac "Mail" client, please follow these instructions:

Email Setup on Mac El Capitan and later

  • Begin by opening System Preferences on your Mac.
  • Click on Internet Accounts
  • Select "Google"
  • Sign in with your WFU email address and password when prompted
  • Ensure that Mail is checked.  You may select the other apps as needed, but they are optional.
