Connecting securely on-campus
Whether you have a Windows, macOS, Android OS or iOS device, you’ll see there are multiple wireless networks to choose from.
Students, Faculty, and Staff:
Connect to the WFUwireless network for the fastest speeds, many times faster than our guest network.
Enter your Wake Forest username (email@example.com) and WFU password to get connected.
Students, Faculty, and Staff on some older devices:
If you do not see WFUWireless in your list of available networks, WFUwireless-legacy is a second-best option. This network is specifically for older devices using 2.4Ghz such as Raspberry Pi, iPhone 4s, and older. Use the same method as above to connect, using your Wake Forest username (firstname.lastname@example.org) and password in order to connect to the network.
Connecting securely off-campus
Information Systems recommends that you install Cisco AnyConnect to connect to our network while you are off campus. Cisco AnyConnect allows your computer to connect to a Virtual Private Network (VPN), ensuring your internet traffic is encrypted and secure. Cisco AnyConnect also allows you to use all services that are available to you when you are connected to a WFU network.
