How to Reset Your Password
After graduation, you will no longer have access to the Deacnet network.
In order to ensure ongoing access to your computer, you must log into the campus network using an ethernet cable and an active network jack at least one time between May 1 and May 17, 2009. Don't have access to a wired connection or reading this after May 17? Update manually here. (Manual update will be available on May 1, 2009).
Then, the first time you log in after May 19, 2009 you will be prompted to enter a new password and confirm it. It is imperative that you remember this password, as it will be the only way to log into the ThinkPad after your student login and password expire. The next time you restart the computer, your current student username will be changed to “administrator.” Enter your new password to use the ThinkPad.
Remember: The Service Desk cannot retrieve or reset the new password. If the password is lost, your data will be lost. The only way to continue to use the computer without the new password is to reload the computer using the software disks provided by Information Systems.
