Network Connectivity
Information Systems is in the process of deploying a new network. The use of the next generation wireless (802.11n) across our campus will be increased. The new network will provide increased reliability, fail-over capacity for our servers, and security.
At the beginning of the Fall 2004 semester, Wake Forest University debuted a new network for the entire Reynolda Campus. The network was dubbed the Next Generation Network. It was the University's first pervasive wireless network and provided the groundwork for exciting mobile technologies.
