Since 1996, Wake Forest has consistently been recognized for its leadership in the effective implementation of technology in higher education. Highlights of these achievements include:

- Friendly Faculty/Staff Award presented by LEAD, Wake Forest’s flagship program for student leadership development, 2006

- Information Systems staff members selected as Exempt and Non-Exempt Wake Forest Employees of the Year for 2006 (Jonathan Milam and Seth Stein)

- Named a best-practice organization for information technology by the American Productivity & Quality Center and the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business.
- Recipient of more than $4 million in grants, corporate contributions, and private donations since 1996.

- Featured in projects with industry leaders like IBM.
- More than 70 press clips in 2005-2006 about Wake Forest technology.
- IBM Premiere Service Center award, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006.
- Provided information technology support and variety of interactive tools for the October 11, 2000, Presidential Debate.
- Host of the IBM ThinkTank Conference, June 2001.
- In the Fall of 2008, five members of the Information Systems Service Desk successfully completed the HDI Support Center Analyst Certification. The staff that completed the certification are Lindsay Decker, Sherry Ratliff, Tim Wells, and Jonathan Wright. Jonathan Milam, Doug Yorke and John Vientos already held this important certification.
